Construction at Meads Mill Middle School is moving along as part of Bond 2023, which is helping improve learning spaces and STEM opportunities for students.
The new STEAM/robotics addition is taking shape! The roof is almost complete, and the large heating and cooling unit on top is now in place. Work on the plumbing and air systems above the ceilings is expected to be finished by the end of the week. Exterior window frames are done, with glass installation coming next week. Painting inside the addition will begin soon, and walls for the temporary kitchen area will also be constructed next week.
At the front of the school, the canopy roofs are nearly finished and expected to be complete by November 7, with just final metal finishing work remaining.
Students are already enjoying the updated collaboration spaces, and the renovated bathrooms are a hit. Once finished, the STEAM/robotics addition will give students even more hands-on learning opportunities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.
